Students at an OAU (Ontario Universities Athletics) hockey game in Waterloo got a close look at what happens when liquid nitrogen and boiling hot water are combined! The intermission show was part of the Science on Science on Ice program that Pueblo Science has been providing since 2012. Ten interactive science demo tables were also available to the students before and during the hockey game allowing them to learn from Wilfrid Laurier and University of Toronto scientists. The reaction of the events attendees were very positive:
“I have received a lot of great feedback on how much the students enjoyed the intermission and all the various displays through out the arena” says Jon Korsikowski, who organized the event.
