Canada has already fulfilled its promise to open its doors to 25,000 Syrian refugees. To welcome some of the Syrian children who are making Toronto as their new home, we will be hosting a Science Festival to over 100 Syrian refugee kids on March 15 at Toronto Plaza.
Our Arabic and English speaking volunteers will be delivering fun and hands-on activities which will cater to children ages 6 to 12. To get the kids more excited and inspired, the festival will feature a visually stunning experiment: liquid nitrogen poured in hot water demo.
We hope you could join us in welcoming and helping to spark an interest in Science early on to the new Syrian refugee kids in Toronto. Our goal is to jump-start fundamental changes in social attitudes about science and to help young students understand the impact of human activity on environment, health, and communities.
